How color correction works

You can use color correction in different modes:

• Advanced mode, which gives you complete control over saturation, brightness, and opacity, and also the red, green and blue components

• RGB mode, with which you can adjust the brightness and contrast of the red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, and white components

• HSV mode, with which you can adjust the saturation and value (or brightness) components

• Tint mode, with which you can apply a tint, either preserving or losing contrast.

You use these modes to build up a list of color corrections to be applied. For example, your list might say:

1. Add a 25% tint of dark blue

2. Decrease the red component's brightness by 15%.

You then apply these corrections to the palette or image, which permanently changes it.
